When is the Best Time to Visit for Fall Colors?
When you visit Blue Mountain Mist in Sevierville, you will have one of the best experiences of fall in the Smoky Mountains. So far, these are the best times to visit to see the fall colors:
It is expected that the fall colors will be arriving at the end of September and into the first week of October. This being said, the end of September has arrived and there have been some changes in the higher elevations as far as color.
In areas like Clingmans Dome, guests will see that the fall colors have definitely started to change from the dark green shades to the lighter green as well as yellows, oranges and reds. There are definite signs of fall in the Smoky Mountains, and we want you to be able to see all of the bright colors.
By mid to late October, guests will notice that there are brighter colors making their way into the mid and lower elevations of the national park. At this point, you will be able to take a scenic drive into the national park to see the colors, or you will notice the bright colors all around the Blue Mountain Mist bed and breakfast property in Sevierville.
By late October and into early November, the colors will be all over the mountains. Anywhere you go and anywhere you look, you will see the bright trees covering East Tennessee. By November, you will notice that the leaves will begin to fall from the trees, blanketing the ground. This is the perfect time for anyone who wants to run around outside, jump in piles of leaves and hear the crunch of the leaves beneath their feet.
