Springboard Into Christmas Spirit with Winter Themed Sevierville and Pigeon Forge Events

Magical Christmas tree at Pigeon Forge eventTwinkling lights, joyful music, and Santa Clauses galore can only mean one thing: it’s almost Christmas time in the Smoky Mountains! To help kick off this year’s winter celebrations, the cities of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge are both hosting a special Winterfest Kick Off. Inviting Smoky Mountain fans from all across the region, these two special Sevierville and Pigeon Forge events are jumpstart anyone into the Christmas spirit!

Both winter-themed events kick off on November 12. The celebrations include a spectacular fireworks display, a variety of food vendors, kids games and local entertainment. The real fun begins, however when the sun goes down and the two mountain towns ‘switch’ on winter with the millions of decorative lights throughout Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. The lights will remain on throughout the rest of winter.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Pigeon Forge will begin its celebration with its third annual Salute to Veterans Parade. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Traffic Light #10, and continue down to Patriot Park at Traffic Light #7. The grand marshal for this year’s Pigeon Forge event is Rocky Bleier, a Vietnam veteran and former NFL player for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
