When is the Best Time to Visit for Fall Colors?

It is expected that the fall colors will be arriving at the end of September and into the first week of October. This being said, the end of September has arrived and there have been some changes in the higher elevations as far as color.

In areas like Clingmans Dome, guests will see that the fall colors have definitely started to change from the dark green shades to the lighter green as well as yellows, oranges and reds.
