Trillium Cottage

IMG_5611-200x300This cottage has the true feel of the forest. Sitting in the woods, it is the most secluded of our five cottages. Natural colors and textures create a rustic yet romantic feel. Stenciled leaves adorn the wall above the unique king headboard made from an old organ top, and earth tones filter through the stained glass window above the Jacuzzi. Inhale the green fragrances from the porch swing or rest your hiked-out feet in front of the fireplace. It boasts an over sized jacuzzi tub for two, gas fireplace, kitchenette, private porch with swing and rockers, TV with DVD player, WIFI and a large bathroom with a big stand up shower. We provide two fresh, soft robes for you to lounge around in during your stay. The main house serves breakfast daily in the dining room where you can mingle and socialize with others or you can have the luxury of our big southern breakfast delivered to your cottage. It is set up perfectly to accommodate a couple for their anniversary, honeymoon or just a romantic getaway.

trillium-300x205Trillium are beautiful wildflowers of the deep woods. Variety is something that is never lacking in Trilliums. Although most species have a primary color for identification, variations occur in nearly all of them. Yellow Trillium is commonly found in the lower elevations of the Smokies. You can find yellow trillium in rich woods along the roadsides, and on many of the trails in the Smokies during April through May. You may spot one in Sarah’s wildflower garden in April or just outside this cottage door.
