Blue Mountain Mist Says ‘Thank You’ to Pastors With Special Discount

Christian crossThe slow moving mist rises, sandwiched between hills and hollows of the rolling countryside. Birds sing and frogs croak as the sun peaks over the top of the mountain.  A hidden jewel tucked away from the busy attractions in Pigeon Forge. A spot chosen by God Himself when He told Sarah to build a bed and breakfast on her family’s farm over 25 years ago. Sarah’s husband, Norman and her parents were not as sure about this idea as she was. However, Sarah never doubted for a minute. She quit her teaching job and convinced Norman to draw the architectural plans. The Inn was dedicated to God shortly after opening.

If you have stayed at our Sevierville bed and breakfast in the past, you may be familiar with this story and us, the Ball family. There have been ups and downs through the years. God doesn’t promise we will always have sunshine and cupcakes, but we have tried to stay focused on the original purpose for being here, to provide genuine southern hospitality with Christian attitudes and a Christian atmosphere. The blessings we have received from the hundreds of wonderful people who have crossed our threshold are innumerable.

A ‘Thank You’ to Pastors

As a thank you for all the rich blessings we have received from Christian guests, we are planning to launch a new 50% off discount program for senior pastors. Through the years we have had many pastors, church leaders and church groups stay with us. How thankful we are for them all. However, we hear more and more about how hard the job is for the senior pastors. Statistics from a recent survey shows:

  • Fifteen hundred pastors leave the ministry each month due to moral failure, spiritual burnout, or contention in their churches.

  • Fifty percent of pastors’ marriages will end in divorce.

  • Eighty percent of pastors feel unqualified and discouraged in their role as pastor.

  • Eighty percent of seminary and Bible school graduates who enter the ministry will leave the ministry within the first five years.

  • Seventy percent of pastors constantly fight depression.

Many times what they need is time away to rest and refuel their spirit.

Testimonials

“We first came to the Blue Mountain Mist in 2007 for a Pastor’s
retreat, and have been going back each year since. We not only received
the rest we needed, but the revelation received from the Lord in prayer
out at the cross resulted in powerful messages being brought back to our
church. The peaceful atmosphere at the Blue Mountain Mist changed our
lives and the lives of the people of our church as well, and for the last
4 years we have also held an annual church retreat there. We truly thank
God for the Blue Mountain Mist, the owners and the staff for providing a
beautiful place to receive rest and revelation.”

“My wife Debbie and I (Ed Gallimore) Pastor a church in Floyd, VA called Bethesda (Houseofmercy), the work for Jesus is 2 years young and blessed with many young converts from all ages. Many come from a term of schooling about Jesus while incarcerated. Many more were drug addiction and other life vices. Battle fields of the mind of with the enemy of the soul evil spirits. I’m so thankful for the home away from home that we discovered for a place to rest our minds, body and soul.
We learned more this weekend why this bed and breakfast is such a blessing of resting.
The foundation of the owners is Christ and their parents farmed the land with honor and love unto God and loved all in Him Jesus. That generation of prayers and blessings provide the present of God through the obedience of the next-generation 3rd and 4th deep. Our minds and bodies are so rested after just 2 days on the farm. Debbie enjoys hanging out in our room the lovely Rainbow Falls, for me I like to take walks and pray.
Everywhere we spent time, whether breakfast with new friends in main dining room, or in the family room in front of the fire place, the peace of God rained. Thanks to all the beautiful staff for your love and care. WE ARE REFRESHED MIND, SOUL AND BODY!”

Details of Discount

Our 50% discount is open to pastors directly, but our thought is that many churches might like to purchase a gift certificate for their pastor in appreciation for their hard work. The certificate could be for a set date or left open to be used within the next year. It could be for a certain number of nights in a particular room or cottage or for a dollar amount to use however they like. Our Pastors need time to rest and rejuvenate.

This discount is for senior pastors only, though the 25% discount for paid assistant pastors remains.
