About Blue Mountain Mist

We offer beautiful views, romantic rooms, suites and cabins/cottages, homemade Southern breakfast, relaxation, and the ultimate in southern hospitality.

As you top the last hill, you’ll understand why Norman and Sarah Ball chose to build their inn on the family’s 60-acre farm. To your left on top of the hill, the beautiful Victorian-style farmhouse invites you to come and relax on the big wrap-around porch. Because the Blue Mountain Mist Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the foothills of the Smokies, the views are superb with a mix of valleys, rolling hills, and mountains, and are ever changing—from the blue mist rising from deep within the valleys to the glow and shadows from the evening sun on the mountainsides. Every aspect of the Blue Mountain Mist is enhanced by the beauty of nature.

Take in the sounds of the bullfrogs and songbirds as you stroll around our beautiful grounds. Our 60 acres include ponds, meadows, forests, flower gardens, and many little nooks and private spots to explore.

Enjoy picking wildflowers in a field while a cool breeze descends from the mountains, or take a nap in a shady hammock without a care in the world.

Soak up the peacefulness of the countryside and mountains, and let the luxury of the Blue Mountain Mist create memories of beautiful moments which remain with you for many years to come

Remember in Grandma’s house when the kitchen was the favorite room? That’s the way guests feel about the Blue Mountain Mist kitchen. Both doors are left wide open and many nights the kitchen becomes a favorite gathering spot as guests enjoy the homemade pie or cake prepared that day.
